Mythology of Asia and the Far East

Reading strategies are a key skill to support your child with at home. Take an interest in what they are reading and ask questions to support understanding. As k questions such as: What does the front cover suggest and why? What does the opening of the text reveal? What is the text’s purpose? Who might the audience be? What viewpoint is held here and WHY? How can you DECODE the text? Are you surprised by what you are reading? If your child does not like reading, please use an audio book to coincide with the reading and encourage engagement. Suggested home reading text lists are available from the class teacher and via the VLE, or your child could visit the school library for support from our librarian.
